Ancient Nutrition Apothecary Organic Clove Description
Clove (Eugenia caryphyllus)
Certified USDA Organic
Warming • Stimulating
For topical, aromatherapy or dietary purposes.
Clove (Eugenia caryophyllata), often referred to as clove bud, is an evergreen tree which produces a flower bud.
While clove was used extensively in ancient Indian and Chinese civilizations, its use didn’t spread to other parts of the world, including Europe, until the seventh and eighth centuries.
The main bioactive element in clove is called eugenol, and clove is well known for its warming and stimulating nature.
Clove bud oil is a warming, stimulating oil with a spicy yet pleasing aroma.
Use: Dilute 1 drop in 4 oz of liquid.
How to Use
Clove Oil Uses:
Add one drop to a diffuser for a warming, stimulating experience.
To mix it up, diffuse a drop of clove oil, a drop of cinnamon oil and a drop of orange essential oil for an invigorating scent.
Add a drop or two for out do-it-yourself potpourri.
Combine one drop of clove bud essential oil with a carrier oil (in amounts per directions) for a warming massage.
Clove oil blends well with many other essential oils, including lavender essential oil, lemon essential oil, peppermint essential oil, basil essential oil, rosemary essential oil, rose oil, cinnamon essential oil, grapefruit essential oil, nutmeg essential oil, orange essential oil and geranium essential oil.
